| 1989 | Retires from the competition and tripped around skate parks all over Australia (maintained ALL JAPAN CHAMPION for 6 years from 1983 until his retirement). |
| 1990 | After returning to Japan (Fall 1989), started snowboarding and won second place in the ALL JAPAN SNOWBOARD CHAMPIONSHIP HALF PIPE. Joins Burton. |

In the field of skateboarding, he enthusiastically coaches kids skaters and works as an advisor of skate park constructions.
For the past 6 years, he has been traveling to the US 2-3 times a year skating with his 80’ s crew including Christian Hosoi, Steve Caballero and Steve Alba, to receive the invitation from STEVE VAN DOREN to compete in the VANS POOL PARTY LEGEND CLASS.
